Sky Lodge Inn & Suites - Delavan

Great place to stay, very comfortable. Had to find a hotel the day before after getting last minute tickets to a show at Alpine Valley. There were limited hotels left, but I still did my research with the choices I had. The outside looked different than I recalled during my research and it made me a bit nervous, I will admit. Could just tell it was older and in the middle of nowhere. Being two females traveling alone especially in a small hotel, it can make you nervous. The inside, however, looked exactly like the booking photos. The rooms were just as nice as any chain hotel. I enjoyed this hotel more than a big, chain hotel though. It felt home-y once I realized we were safe there. I could tell staff checking us in were a family working hard together to run the place. They were friendly and cared about the facilities. The sink in our bathroom had fresher caulk and there was a note about it, a sweet one that made us laugh. Could tell it had just been redone. They left you alone after checking in unless you needed something which is also nice to me. Overall, I would say this hotel was a classic example of the saying, do not judge a book by its cover. If I go to another show at Alpine, I will deliberately pick this as my place to stay. I appreciated I was helping a smaller business and a family, it was very comfortable, and I personally liked that I wasn’t in a huge chain hotel very crowded from the show (once I got inside and saw all was well). Fair, competitive pricing as well. We did not have time to eat breakfast or do the pool, so I cannot personally speak on that.

The breakfast area was clean, well lit and had enough seating. The offered items for breakfast were a little on the modest side. It was adequate. Our room, bathroom, were very clean. The beds were very comfortable! 2 regular sitting chairs was a nice thing! The A/C unit was quiet and unobtrusive while sleeping. The water pressure for a shower was great!

It was very quiet, clean, and well maintained. Enjoyed our weekend stay very much.

The rooms are nicely updated. I have stayed here before and they have added some breakfast offerings.
